Proven Experience in Customized Training
In July 2009 The CND Group was asked by a local LLC in Maryland to develop a Capstone to evaluate a student's ability to conduct a cyber inquiry in response to a computer network incident to confirm or mitigate suspicion of malicious activity. This capstone course was created with realistic scenarios based on historical events, real cyber threats, and the appropriate investigation response. The goal of this practical cyber investigation is that, as a result of cyber investigation activities conducted, reasonable belief is established which warrants a formal cyber investigation. Below is a brief overview of the course objective:
"The capstone course integrates coursework, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experiential learning to enable the student to demonstrate a broad mastery of learning across the curriculum for a promise of initial employability and further career advancement. In order to achieve this goal, a wide variety of skills might be focused upon which will allow the student to demonstrate the level of achievement reached with regard to key areas of learning. These key areas of learning are called "transferable skills." Transferable skills are the skills a student masters throughout his or her learning and through which he or she communicates attainment of the course goal. The transferable skill this capstone focuses on is critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving, effective writing, effective oral communication, quantitative analysis, cybersecurity literacy, recognize existing legal authority, apply internet research skills, apply standing investigative authorities, detect digital tradecraft use, conduct technical interview, prepare cyber incident report, apply cyber collections analysis and reporting, detect the insider threat, identify external threats and analyze digital data."
